Come one, come all! Duluth's Annual Homegrown Music Festival 2011!
I will be playing the night of Tuesday, May 3rd (Experimental Tuesday) at Chester Creek Cafe's Wine Bar. The evening begins at 9pm with myself, followed by Fancy Hands at 10pm and ending the night with DJ Path Annu at 11pm.
Unfortunately this will be my last show for a while, as I am looking to spend more time writing. As soon as I carve something from this writer's block ;)
The new album is almost finished and I've practically moved onto artwork. Look for updates on that soon.
Hope to see everytone at the show!
Moving ahead

February 27, 2011
Hello Danecdote Disciples! Can I call you that? Anyways, I'm still in the process of writing music for the new album. Pretty close to gathering all of the songs together, so expect to hear news about it's release soon. I know I had mentioned in a past update, that I was going to do an electronic/acoustic album. Well that idea has transformed and had given birth to new ideas. Idea's that may change the way you hear Danecdote music forever. ;) In a good way... I hope...
I am also working on redoing the entire website soon. So check back for that! New music up soon as well!!
Acoustic/Electronic Album
-
November 3, 2010
Acoustic/Electronic Album is in the works! I will be using a shameful version of an Antares guitar (Model GX-141). The guitar, though lazily cared for, will shine via today's top-notch, redefining VST's. Recorded in an open, dead space with the MXL 4000, I am able to create a quiet, controlled environment.
A quarter of the album is already finished!
Updates soon!
Hopefully back from hibernation!

Sorry for the lack of updates (as usual). But I found the site to be a bit boring as of lately. So to kind of 'spruce-it-up', I'll be adding some more free downloads. Old-old stuff, older stuff, newer stuff, stuff unrelated to Danecdote, stuff half finished, etc. You should see these uploaded at the latest by tonight.
I also want to point out that 'Danthropology' will still be released digitally for FREE, on Tuesday October 5th from here and here only! A physical release is in the works!
Thanks for your continued support!

'Danthropology' Out Soon!
-
June 30, 2010
18 tracks, 1 hour and 10 minutes, a year and a half in the making, transitions from genre to genre, expect the unexpected! This will be my debut release under the Danecdote alias. 'Danthropology', is filled with songs to brighten the dance floor yet have enough composure for your home listening experience. A CD release show will be arranged soon as well as a Pre-CD release Party. In the mean time I'm working with different CD distributing companies to get this pressed and packaged. Can't have a release show with out a release! In the mean time, a select few songs from the CD can be heard here on the site. Keep stopping by for new music!

BIG THANKS
-
April 29, 2010
I would like to take some time to thank everyone that came out last night to my debut concert, here in Duluth. First off, big thanks to Dise for taking time out of his busy schedule to come and do not 1, but 2 sets. Also a thanks to Mike from The Rex for letting this event take place. Without him, the fun we had last night never would have happened. Thanks to all the Med Students tearing it up on the dance floor (I think I saw someone do the Steamroller?). Also a big thanks to everyone else that came out, without you, I would have been playing music for the bartenders. Hopefully this experience will happen again!

Danecdote Interviewed
-
April 2, 2010
Matt Perrine, of the Duluth News Budgeteer was intrigued by all the gunk I stirred up on Perfect Duluth Day, so he asked to do an interview. It can be read here:

Or if you don't want to be forced into creating an account to read it, you can wait for the printed version, which will be out this weekend.
Homegrown Hate!
-
March 17, 2010
This is where I will take my anger out against the Duluth Homegrown Festival Committee. It seems that my musical endeavours are not ready to be displayed amongst the Duluth scene. Now I'm not trying to sound pompous, but there are plenty of musical acts in Duluth, that probably shouldn't have been accepted. Mark Gartman for one is a talented musician, but I'm sure that at least one of his 9 bands could have been taken off the roster. Not saying that I would have been a good replacement, but COME ON! Isn't this festival about showcasing new music in the Duluth scene? I have never played a show in Duluth (and maybe that was what hurt me) but now would have been the time. This city has great potential for new artists, but none of the venues want to lay there money on the table for a chance. I'm sorry I didn't enlist a washboard player into my music. Really, I am, because if I had, you might have been able to see me play at Luce or The Red Star. Shoot, I would have been somewhat pleased if they had stuck me in Soup Town. But nope, I'm not even worth that to them. Anyways, I'm done (for now) with Committee Hate. Maybe next year I'll have more rage when they once again reject me from their Homegrown Happen'n List.

New Website!
-
March 8, 2010
Yep, up and hopefully running. As some of you may or not not know, I have recently changed my musical moniker from Bath Aide to Danecdote. There were a lot of reasons for doing this, the first and best one was that 'Bath Aide' held no true meaning to myself or my body of work. I hope we can all adjust to this (I know I have). You may ask yourself, "Will he still be making Breakcore?" The answer is, probably not. In all honesty, the diligent efforts I put forth as a breakcore artist were just to much for the little outcome that I was getting. Also I find myself pushing more boundaries when I'm not attached to a particular genre of music. So, I hope everyone embrace's this change, because Bath Aide is dead and buried and we All missed the funeral.
